We have two more videos to bring you from the Tokyo Games Show, courtesy of Ubisoft
First up we have a ludicrously pretty trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar, which showcases all kinds of explosions and lighting effects, as well as some of the vehicles you’ll get to take control of in the game. If explosions don’t set your pulse racing, there’s a big rhinocerosy thing too, along with a baffling looking UI. The game promises a full 3D experience for people with more money than their government, so expect at least two people looking like an idiot as they dodge non-existent flying debris come release day. Avatar is expected for a December release on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC, with DS and PSP versions arriving the same time.
Secondly, we have the new trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction, which sees our hero sporting one of those ‘I’m washed up and angry’ beards that seem to be all the rage (RE: Max Payne 3). Sam doesn’t seem to be in stealth mode for Conviction as he violently offs a bunch of his former colleagues. I think there’s a lesson here – if someone you know suddenly grows a beard and starts to sound as though they have a throat full of gravel, they’re probably about to embark upon a violent mission for revenge. Splinter Cell: Conviction emerges from the shadows 23rd February 2010 on Xbox 360 and PC.
