It’s always fun to be handed a chance to prove how much smarter you are than your closest friends and relatives, especially if you don’t mess it up and look like a tit. If you have been waiting for such an opportunity, then independent developer, Boyan Kolev, is claiming you can now flaunt your success in the faces of others with new addictive puzzler, Kakuro Mania for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
How do you play the game do I hear you ask? The press release simply puts it that, “The object of Kakuro Mania is to insert a digit from 1 to 9 inclusive into each cell such that the sum of the numbers in each entry matches the clue associated with it and that no digit is duplicated in any entry.”
Basically put, it’s a numbers game, a bit like what would happen if a Sudoku and a magic square had a child together, naming it Kakuro Mania. The thrilling screenshot should make it clear as cling film what you need to do.
Those who enjoy bending their brain around corners should find plenty to do with various grid sizes, four difficulties, auto saving and many other helpful features you don’t get when filling in the puzzle pages on Sunday.
