TIGA shortlisted for 2010 Trade Association Forum awards

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced it has been shortlisted in four categories in the 2010 Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards, with the winners being announced at the 2010 Awards Dinner in London on July 1.

TIGA has been shortlisted for the Sector Representation Award, Member Recruitment Award, Annual Report of the Year Award and the Website of the Year Award.

Richard Wilson TIGA CEO stated: “TIGA’s vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business. TIGA is focused on delivering the best results possible for our members and for the UK video games industry. We are thrilled the Trade Association Forum has recognized the hard work and dedication of our team and of the TIGA board.”

Whilst it is not the most thrilling news for the avid gaming audience, these rewards ‘recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievements of trade associations across the UK’. It’s nice to see the UK games industry getting a bit of recognition and respect, which can only mean more greatness for the future.
