Nail’d: release date, screenshots, free heavy metal songs!

Incoming racer Nail’d now has a firm date for its UK release, and that date is February 4th 2011. Deep Silver are bringing the game (developed by Polish company Techland) to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and these shiny new screenshots give you an idea of what to expect.

Prominent backsides subject to change.

It’s an off road racer, with bikes of the motor and quad variety available to throw around the tracks. An emphasis on ‘big air’ is promised because, we are told, “Only those who master daring jumps into unknown depths at ultimate top speeds stand a chance to win the challenging action races in nail’d”. So there.

We presume this won't be the default racing camera.

Heavy metal fans will be interested to learn that the soundtrack is made up of exclusive songs from a metal supergroup which includes members from bands such as Fear Factory, Damageplan, Deftones and Static X. Even better, four of these songs are now free to download from the official Nail’d facebook page, with the fifth due to be made available any time now. Looks like this game will let you put the pedal to the Metal (cue screams of ‘no, no, I’m sorry’ closely followed by door slamming and muffled gunshot).

Something about this picture screams 'adrenaline' to us.
