Starbreeze, a developer whom you may know from games like Syndicate and The Chronicles of Riddick, have yanked the mysterious white sheet from their P13 project. With filmmaker Josef Fares still along for the ride, the codename has been ditched for its full title of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
As the name implies, the story follows two sons as they set out on a quest to find the “Water of Life” in a desperate attempt to save their dying father. The trailer above highlights the lovely scenery and an unconfirmed potential for cooperative multiplayer, but details are thin at the moment. Some light is shed on the siblings and the relationship between them in a line from the announcement:
“One must be strong where the other is weak, brave where the other is fearful, they must be… Brothers.”
Published by 505 Games and set for a spring 2013 release, you can look for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons to hit virtual store shelves on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Steam.
