However, some games are a lot more awkward to play with the GamePad plugged in depending on which functions it uses (particularly motion controls).

You’re also right to say that a better battery can be bought separately. However, why should you or I – or anybody else – have to spend more money on a system we’ve already bought just to get a decent battery life? Similarly, as I said, Microsoft really should have provided a way to charge the Xbox One controller in the box.

Thanks for reading, and for taking the time to comment!

The Xbox One doesn’t allow you to “keep” its GWG anymore.. It only lets you keep xbox 360 games after the subscription expires… As for the new system.. it is on par with Sony this gen as for the use “After the subscription ends”.

As for finding a PS+ subscription for cheap.. You can find both subscriptions to services at a highly discounted price during the holidays.. you just gotta stock up when the sale is right.. and be prepared each time it comes.

I hope your article helps some people make a decision they feel they don’t ever regret! Great article!

One minor nitpick is that the Wii U gamepad battery life is not anywhere near the issue made out. If it runs down, plug it in while you’re playing. Or … get the bigger battery with up to 8 hours of use, from the Nintendo store.
