Games Journalism Is Broken
The freedom and enthusiasm involved in the magazines of yesterday was obvious. Good games would be praised with schoolground enthusiasm, bad games ripped apart with malicious glee – and yet the words would always (in the good magazines, of course) be chosen wisely and manipulated skilfully. It was like being told which games to buy and which to avoid by your most intelligent friend.
