LittleBigPlanet glitches to be left untouched; more interactive music planned

Did you miss part one of our extensive Media Molecule interview? If so, go check it out now! As you may have already heard, they told us that they thought LittleBigPlanet 2 would be a very bad idea. In part two of the interview, going live on Monday, they give us some more interesting snippets.

“There definitely will be more interactive music. Whether that’s standalone in a music only pack… I don’t know yet. We’ll see how the first music pack does first. We’d love to do that; as with everything we do we’ll listen to the community, and see how it goes.” says producer Martin Lynagh.

When the subject of bugs and glitches came up, level designer Danny Leaver said:

“Unless it’s damaging to the game, we’re going to leave it. It’s part of the creative process.”

Ordinarily, a developer declaring that bugs and glitches would be left untouched would be an outrage; but LittleBigPlanet is just about the only game in existence where that can be seen as a good thing (though as Danny said, anything game breaking will still be removed).

Pathetic. Fix the game. MM is lazy. Sony is lazy.

    I hate.

Fix the game? What is there to fix, exactly??? I play LBP online all the time and i’ve never found any game – defacing bug that requires immediate attention.

You’re either a Microsoft fanboy who has no idea what LBP even is or you’ve somehow managed to confuse a different game with LittleBigPlanet. Either way, you really should do a little research before spouting off like that.

    @ elite and old

they are not lazy. If you have played the game you would know that these glitches are what make some levels fun and interesting. So they are doing it to keep the game fun and the creative process going not because they are lazy.

Just to show LBP is the best game ever; even the glitches are kickass!!!
