F.E.A.R. 3 announced with live action trailer

As if you hadn’t been scared witless enough already by a creepy little girl running around as you blast chunks of the wall into dust with a shotgun, it looks like another sequel is on the way for FPS horror series F.E.A.R.

This live action trailer seems to show psychic crazy lady, Alma delivering a little sprog into the world which will probably bring a new kind of creepy evil into existence if the game’s reputation is anything to go by. We also get to see Point Man shooting at people as well as getting a lovely running commentary from Paxton Fettel.

The terrifying effects and set pieces that the series likes to pump itself full of will have consultation from director John Carpenter (Halloween, Village of the Damned) and horror comic writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night), just to make sure we all experience problems in keeping our underwear unsoiled.

As far as gameplay features are concerned, it has been revealed that a co-op mode will be in the new game, with one player as Point Man and the other as Fettel, with each apparently having distinctly different abilities.

F.3.A.R. (see what they did there?) is set for release this autumn on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
