Blizzard announced today that the current phase of StarCraft II’s beta test will end May 31.
Following the end of the first cycle of beta testing for StarCraft’s long-awaited sequel, Blizzard will be performing “hardware and software configuration changes in preparation for the final phase of the beta test and the release of the game.” The beta will later become operational for further testing before the game’s launch, so current beta testers, expect some downtime and plan accordingly for the months of June and July. Everyone else should head over to GameStop to acquire their beta key, which comes with a pre-order of either the standard or collector’s edition of the game so long as you promise not to cancel your purchase.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty launches onto shelves July 27.
