Devil May Cry reboot announced with trailer

Capcom have announced a Devil May Cry reboot being developed by Ninja Theory, the UK based studio behind Heavenly Sword.

Not many game details are known beyond what the trailer shows us, but to be honest the trailer does show off a lot. Players take the role of a younger Dante, still looking as outlandishly stylish as ever but with black hair, sans trench coat and completely different everything.

In the trailer we get a glimpse of fisticuffs, sword play and plenty of hot lead spewed from the series’ signature dual pistols carving through swathes of enemies that look just as demented as ever.

This is the first time that the series has been handed to a western developer, so it will be interesting to see if that has a huge impact on how the game actually plays in comparison to previous titles.

It’s definitely a new take on the series, but it still looks slightly familiar, despite the completely new look Dante has been given. Devil May Cry or ‘DmC’ will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
