LittleBigPlanet 2 delayed until January 2011

If you were hoping for a copy of Little Big Planet 2 in your stocking later this year, we’re afraid that Father Christmas will be having supplier issues as Media Molecule have pushed back the date of LittleBigPlanet 2 to January 2011.

Media Molecule broke the disheartening news on their website. “We know this will come as disappointing news for all you LittleBigPlanet fans, and believe us, we are disappointed too.

“We are a tight-knit team and we take enormous pride in our work, so to raise the bar we’ve set with the original LittleBigPlanet, a game that has been so embraced by all, we’ve agreed to allow ourselves a bit more time to deliver the experience that our great fans and community deserve.”

Looking on the brighter side of things however, the post continues to say that they will find a way to give us all a taste of the PS3 exclusive prior to the launch.

This was my number 1 must-have this xmas, but I’m not upset by the delay. I’m quite happy that Media Molecule want to spend extra time to make the game the best possible quality they can. They can always apologise by giving some future paid dlc away for free..

Honestly, I think this is good news! I was looking forward to it big time too, but if there are still creases that need ironed out then I say let them do what it takes to give us another crakin’ game! A lot of other publishers would have just shoved it out he door half dressed and demanded our cash, so just for wanting your fans to have a great experience, WELL DONE Mm!!!
