PlaySEGA – relive your youth with free SEGA classics

SEGA launches a new online gaming portal today, promising that we’ll get to play over 40 MegaDrive classics as well as; “A host of free online games.”

This is great news for those of us who grew up playing games such as Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Ecco the Dolphin and of course Sonic the Hedgehog (Jeremy the Sad Flamingo won’t be available on the service, mainly because it exists only inside the collective imagination of the staff here at Critical Gamer).

You can grab a free 5 day VIP trial account, create your own levels for Sonic and upgrade to a full VIP account with a 15% discount all by following this here link

We should so make Jeremy the Sad Flamingo, it would sell on name alone :)

Well it’d be bound to be better than Shadow the Hedgehog…
