Evidence of Pac – Man on the moon

Well, not exactly.

As reported by the BBC The Cassini spacecraft – a joint project between NASA, ESA, and ASI (the Italian Space Agency) – orbits around Saturn, and recently returned a temperature map of one of Saturn’s moons, Mimas (hey, we didn’t say which moon). This is what scientists saw:

The huge temperature differences on the moon’s surface can probably be attributed to the diversity of textures, boffins say. But you don’t care about that, right? Look – it’s Pac – Man in space! Brilliantly, the position of the crater even makes it look like he’s about to eat a Power Pill.

Reports that an on – board sound recorder picked up a faint murmur of ‘wakk wakka wakka’ remain unconfirmed.
